Maintaining your machine
A well maintained machine will give a lifetime of reliable service and produce a superb coffee.
We recommend that your machine be serviced regularly and that only filtered, softened water be used in most machines. Have your water tested by a pool shop or aquarium and if your total hardness is over 40ppm, you should discuss appropriate filtration with Bombora Supplies. Please note that drinking water filters are rarely adequate for espresso machines.
We offer reasonably priced service for all the espresso machines that we sell and many other e-61 machines. We also stock a range of commonly required parts. We can obtain parts for any machine in our range.
For those looking for the best performance from your machine, we offer pump pressure calibration and we also have a Scace II device, used to monitor group temperature during the course of a shot. Thermostability upgrades are available for the ECM/Rocket Espresso Giotto Premium, Expobar Office SA and control, older Vibiemme machines and we can also provide upgrades for many other machines. An upgrade can assist hot running machines by reducing or eliminating a cooling shot and in some cases, improving group temperature as well.
