The FZ-94 pro lab-roaster was designed with roast-masters in mind; it is simply the most advanced roaster of its kind in the world. This unique coffee roaster truly offers total control over the roast process while still maintaining user-friendly operations, a small footprint, a stunning design and outstanding roasting quality. The roasting capacity range in the FZ-94 is anything from 100g to 2.4 kg.
Roasting with the FZ-94 pro lab-roaster enables roasters to experience and experiment with the widest spectrum possible of roasting factors. The FZ-94 utilizes unique methods of roasting – infra red radiation, conduction and convection – all at the same given moment and in the same drum. In the FZ-94 is embedded speed control for the drum, and for the drum venting blower. These features empower the user to make the most delicate adjustments with the use of digital frequency inverters.
The three powerful, individually controlled modern electrical heaters produce clean, stable, consistent heating and repeatable energy; they relieve users from the known hassle of primitive gas heaters and consistency of gas supply. The individual control over each of the three heating elements allows a wide range of energy for all given conditions and capacities.
Temperature control is measured by three individual digital probes and PID controllers.
This roaster can also be combined with the Coffee Tech Avirnaki Smokeless roasting system.

Exploring the full range of possibilities in professional roasting was never as accessible as it is with the FZ-94 pro labroaster. Now you can research and examine issues such as: various balancing between conduction and radiation; the effect of drum speed changing – the slower the drum turn the more contact the beans get with the drum’s metal, the faster the drum spins, the more time the beans spend “in air”; creating roast processes relying on the infrared radiation and exposure to convection while combining it with varying airflow blower’s speed; stepping up and down heating elements at different stages – the heaters featured in this machine have minimal thermal continuity and immediate response to activation. Furthermore, the FZ-94 can be featured with our PC roasting management software– for expansive data logging and recording.
The FZ-94 pro lab-roaster design features the same professional specifications as our commercial coffee roasters, and was built using high quality industrial grade components, assuring reliable roasting for many years. The FZ-94 pro lab-roaster is a fully manual roaster for those who aim at becoming true masters of roasting, yet – as mentioned above – it can be featured by computerized profile software. FZ-94 is equipped with a very efficient outer cooling group for continuous roasting. The outer cooling group is featured with a separate chaff collector for the cleanest operation possible. FZ-94 is equipped with an external heavy duty drum venting blower, as mentioned controlled with speed control and 100% efficient chaff collector. All machines ducting parts including the drum’s blower and cyclone are completely dismountable by metal “thumb nuts”, so they can be efficiently cleaned with no need for tools; the cleaning procedure – the most crucial issue in the machine’s performance – was never so easy.
