I have the most amazing clients and interactions with coffee lovers even when the outcome is not necessarily a sale. I love that and it’s why I do what I do.
Over the past couple of days, one destroyed machine and I have had the displeasure of two really lousy potentials and am glad I dodged a bullet with both of them.
One was insulting because I refused him a machine at under wholesale cost. He learned that when he tried the same tactics with other similar businesses.
We are a small, supportive community and word spread rapidly about this bloke.
Last night, a verbally abusive, foul mouthed email from an obnoxious pig who also wanted something where the gain in the sale far outweighed the risk of importing the gear for him and assuming warranty and after sales support. What a pathetic, cowardly keyboard warrior. 🤪
And then this morning a message which makes it all worthwhile and reminds me why I do this. Thank you J. 🙏
“I've been trying to follow the case of the transit disaster because I encouraged xxxxxx to get in touch with you about buying the machine, he was looking to buy xxxxxxxxxxxx, but I talked him out of it in place of a new machine.
I am worried about the situation and hope that it can be resolved somehow, if there is a large out of pocket to be able to get xxxxx the machine he wants, I'm willing to chip in some money to help cover the costs, it won't be a huge amount, but at this stage I'll be willing to pledge $xxx, so you can at least bank on that get started.
My number xxxxxxxxxx you want to call me, but my job means I can't have my phone with me during the day. I'll return a call if you leave a message.
I hope it can all be worked out.
Take care mate.”
This restores faith. There are so many businesses which need us all to help out during these crazy times. We can all have someones back. "J', you had mine and whilst the offer is incredible, others need it far more than TC does.
