Origin: Pedro Gabarra
Pedro Gabarra Teixeira, Joao Newton’s son, is the 5th generation of coffee growers in his family. Coffee is not a business but a passion for the Teixeira family. They also are conscious about the environment, keeping 20% of the land untouched and 28% for reforestation. Meaning that nearly 50% of the farm is set aside for conservation.
Located in the South of Minas Gerais, Campo das Vertentes is a region with an ideal terroir for growing spectacular specialty coffee.
They currently have 5 different and permanent projects that aim to create environmental awareness, a better relationship between the workers’ families and a hope for a better future for the generations to come.
