"At the beginning of October, we popped a quiet champagne, with the BIG news that the Aillio Bullet R1 V2 has passed the final round of tests and is now CB/CE certified.

This is the compliance legally required to bring the Bullet R1 into Australia. And on top of this, as of Friday last week, the paperwork has been signed, sealed and delivered!

In Sydney yesterday to spend time with our friends @espressocompany and the forthcoming VBM Domobar series gear.

For those who have been considering the Crem LFPP machine, you will have a very compelling argument to look at VBM as well. It will be very close on price.

The user interface is by far the best of the e-61 pressure profile gear: simple and intuitive. No silly USB sticks. Get in, program and then shoot.

The entire case of this machine is slotted to allow the machine to breathe and run cool. Clever, no-brainer stuff.

Steam wands have been a gripe for us on VBM gear. The new wand has four small bore holes and milk texture performance is outstanding. This is one highly impressive machine and yes, we will be reintroducing the range.

For those looking in $3k market, the Domobar Junior is also lovely. It's nice and quiet for a vibe pump. The interface shows boiler set pressure and whether the machine is heating or not and then reverts to a shot-timer once the lever is lifted.

Having not looked closely at dimensions, it was a surprise to see that the junior in no longer a junior in size. It's about the same size as the Super.

Bang for buck on this range is exceptional. Crem is definitely going to need to watch the Super in particular and my instinct is that many who were contemplating the LFPP are going to need to think seriously about VBM in the decision making process.

Thanks to ECA for the amazing hospitality and getting me back in time for that late flight home. Up and back in 12 hours is always a rush, but the journey was well worth it.

We're looking forward to having VBM back on the bench.
