Heat Exchanger
Heat Exchanger machines allow for the production of espresso whilst milk is being textured. These may be viewed as “cafe at home” machines.
This class of machine typically sells for $1500 to around $3000 and is far more versatile than the single boiler machine. The have small controllers which monitor water levels in the boiler and tank to ensure that water is available. Should the water tank be empty, power to the element is switched off to protect the machine.
At the upper end of this class are rotary pump driven machines which can be plumbed in or operated from thieir inbuilt water tank.
